The Athens Theater in Deland, Florida, is seeing a lot of progress as it moves closer to the completion of its historic renovation. The painters are working on bringing back the elegant details it once had, as the carpenters restore its décor to the original style of Art Deco. Seats have been installed in the house and the theatre is beginning to regain its character.

Currently, IAstage is fabricating and installing a new pit filler, facility access ladders, Front Of House lighting positions and a complete rigging system. A new fire curtain is also being installed to help bring the stage up to state fire codes. As the project is nearing completion the IAstage drapery shop is working to complete a full stage drapery package and accenting curtains for the remodeled balcony areas.
