Gordon Pearlman To Be Honored With Wally Russell Lifetime Achievement Award

On March 18th, Gordon Pearlman will be presented The Wally Russell Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award for 2016 at USITT in Salt Lake City, Utah.
For over 45 years, Pearlman has made numerous contributions for technology and lighting control for both entertainment and architectural lighting. He is known as the creator of the LS/8, the first theatrical computer lighting control console. This console paved the way for general acceptance of computer controlled lighting in the industry. In addition to many other amazing contributions, Pearlman has also aided in developing architectural lighting through innovations such as his work with Lightolier on Lytemode and Scenist family lighting controls, which led to the creation of the first microprocessor controls which fit into a wall box.

Gordon Pearlman will be presented the award at a breakfast celebration in the South Grand Ballroom of the Salt Lake City Convention Center. The event is being proudly sponsored by InterAmerica Stage, Inc. in conjunction with Phillips/Strand Lighting.
