Safe and Efficient Chandelier Maintenance

Each custom chandelier weighs approximately 580 pounds and is supported by a structural framework concealed above the ceiling. To maintain the hall’s elegant appearance and outstanding acoustics, the motors and power supplies remain permanently hidden within the ceiling structure.

Four IA Stage chandelier hoists allow venue staff to safely lower each fixture from below whenever maintenance or cleaning is required. By eliminating the need for scaffolding or lifts inside the performance space, routine maintenance becomes significantly safer and less disruptive.

Each hoist has a lift capacity of 1000lb, easily managing the massive chandeliers. With 2 lift lines per chandelier; a slow and steady fixed speed of 20 feet per minute; and up to 35 feet of travel, the hoists lower and raise the heavy fixtures in a controlled manner ensuring the safety of the operator, the venue’s interior, and the equipment. Festival Hill’s hoists utilize pantographs for cable management, but they are not self-climbers, meaning that the hoist assemblies remain above the ceiling.
