Jumping for a Purpose VIII
(Chesapeake, VA, October 13, 2016) – More than a dozen wounded warriors and Gold Star family members will participate in the Combat Wounded Coalition’s (CWC) Jumping for a Purpose VIII on October 15.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with jumps taking place between 10:30 and 3:30 p.m. at Skydive Suffolk in Suffolk, Virginia. Mayor Linda T. Johnson, City of Suffolk, and Virginia Senator Bill DeSteph, 8th District, will be present to give remarks.
“We have special events like these to inspire our combat wounded brothers and sisters to get out and overcome their injuries,” said Jason Redman, retired U.S. Navy Seal and CWC Founder. “We want to motivate them to move forward and achieve more than they ever thought possible.”
There will be live entertainment and DJ, food and drink vendors and a non-profit veteran support fair for this family-friendly event. The event is sponsored by the Geico Military Team and hosted by Skydive Suffolk. Tandem jumps are open to the public and interested participants should call Skydive Suffolk at 757-539-3531 to book in advance. Lift sponsors include ADS, Oceaneering, Double Tap Military Surplus, and Sinclair Communications.
The CWC’s mission is to inspire wounded warriors to overcome through programs that provide, pride, power, purpose, and peace and by providing connections to organizations offering the best resources, programs and proven strategies for these warriors.
