The 49th Annual USITT Conference & Stage Expo was a success for InterAmerica Stage, Inc. The IAstage booth attracted many different attendees from students to consultants and fellow industry members. The booth was full all three days with curious individuals checking out the new and improved products such as LiftDeck, a bevel screw jack driven stage and orchestra lift, as well as the Removable Panel, an addition to the SkyDeck System.

The SkyDeck is always a hit among visitors to the booth. Daniel Clark, Project Engineer for Entertainment Structures Group commented that "the design of the SkyDeck is an elegant structural design, and easy to see and calculate lateral forces. Other grids like those made with channel frames are difficult to make work due to torsional forces on channels." The SkyDeck has a hybrid frame made of tube and angle members specifically designed to resist the bending and twisting forces of a wire tension grid system.

The hands-on replacement of cables of a SkyDeck panel was a big hit among students. They were able to see the simplicity of replacing a cable and had the chance to cut, weave, and crimp a new cable in place.
