Todd Preston Headshot

Todd Preston is excited to bring his experience to the InterAmerica Stage team. As a licensed Professional Engineer, Todd is well equipped to satisfy the structural engineering needs of the entertainment industry. Prior to his arrival at InterAmerica, Todd was a Project Manager and Engineer for a custom fabrication company serving the amusement park and hospitality industries. Before moving to Florida, he was a structural engineer for a manufacturer of rigging equipment in Minneapolis, MN. With 10 years in engineering, he has also worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and an architectural precast concrete manufacturer. Todd is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently completing a master’s degree in Engineering Management from St. Cloud State University.

Providing a balance to his engineering practice, but also delivering valuable experience in the industry, Todd has worked as a Technical Director, Set Designer, and Lighting Designer for many regional and community theater companies in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Minnesota. While studying at the University of Kentucky, he worked as a carpenter in the Department of Theatre’s scene shop. He continues to take part in the theatre both onstage and backstage when he has the opportunity.
When not working in the theatre in some capacity, Todd enjoys going to the theatre as an audience member and sharing his passion for the arts with his wife, Marina, and his son, John. For the Preston family, the arts are truly a family affair.
